Now Sprouting On Melrose Avenue
From the Chaya Family of Restaurants

M Café de Chaya

(Los Angeles, CA. June 7, 2005.) From the Chaya family of restaurants, M Café de Chaya will open to the public at 7119 Melrose Avenue, just west of La Brea Avenue. Although this intersection is renowned for one particular dining alternative (that famous dog sits just around the corner), M Café de Chaya has set out to bring a new taste to the neighborhood. Chaya Executive Chef Tachibe has personally recruited Chef Lee Gross (former private Chef for Gwyneth Paltrow). Although the cuisine is actually based upon a loose interpretation of Macrobiotic principles, the chefs of M Café have gone to great lengths to build their menu around textures and flavors that are familiar, comfortable, and delicious. M Café offers a wide range of soups, salads, sandwiches, and sweets, all produced without refined sugar, dairy products, or egg.
M Café Pastry provides a full range of breakfast pastries, scones, and muffins for the morning commute, as well as a full complement of weekend brunch offerings. Both lunch and dinner will be available to enjoy in the casual, bistro-style café, or as quick “Grab and Go” take out, including an assortment of popular pressed panino sandwiches, the Melrose Muffelata, ‘The Big Macro,’ house made soups and salads, and even a selection of sushi rolls. Watch for the bright yellow awnings.

M Café de Chaya is located at 7119 Melrose Avenue, just west of La Brea Avenue.  For more information, or to place an order, please call 323.525.0588.
